QlikView in GC "Aeroclub"
Due to the announced holiday week, Qlik decided to support the Qlik developer community and launched the #QronaVirus contest for the best Qlik Sense application on coronavirus. Applications are accepted until April 20, in qvf-file format, so it's better not to use third-party extensions (only those that already exist in the official Qlik Sense release bundles). The winner will be determined by open voting for the published applications. Details - below.
Task:
To develop an application on coronavirus in Russia (it is possible and not only, but on the territory of the Russian Federation - necessarily).
Problem statement: don't limit yourself to trivial statistics - add data! Population by region, age composition, risk groups, number of diseases in previous years, causes of diseases, income by region, typical food basket, buckwheat sales, stock of masks - everything is suitable for analysis! Get creative with analytics and problem definition.
Product: Qlik Sense
Use of extensions: it is better without them, because applications will be published to the public for voting, and with third-party extensions it will be more difficult. But you can use standard extensions from Qlik Sense February 2020 release bundles.
Data relevance: Since the situation is constantly changing, additional points will be given to apps that are able to retrieve up-to-date data on their own
How to participate and deadlines:
Develop an application: until April 20, 2020
Send a link to the qvf file with the app to the Qlik Russia office: inforu@qlik.com (when ready).
Pre-evaluate in Qlik: your app should be among the top 10 apps that will be published for voting.
The top 10 apps will then be published on the promotional site and voting will be opened, after which the winner will be announced.
Prize:
Qlik is so far without details, "the developer of the best app gets a very valuable prize!". It is also known that the prize is awarded personally, in Moscow, it will be necessary to come for it.
Data sources:
Data can be taken from any open sources. For example:
https://github.com/CSSEGISandData/COVID-19
Examples of ready-made applications:
European Center for Disease Prevention and Control
Coronovirus statistics for Kazakhstan from Datanomix
Statistics on Ukraine, indicating who cannot return to which country from RBC company.
Legal Disclaimer: By submitting your application to the contest, you agree that Qlik receives the rights to use and publish it.
Great initiative from Qlik Russia, we'll tell you about the best apps later.
